Quynh Lam pagoda in Quang Ninh province to be restored in early 2014

Dong Trieu district has held a conference to collect ideas from relevant agencies about the preservation and restoration of Quynh Lam pagoda.

Relevant agencies included the Department of Cultural Heritage, professors, associate professors, scientists, provincial departments, committees and agencies, the managing committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province, and Dong Trieu district.

Quynh Lam pagoda was built in Ly dynasty. Over time, the wooden structures were lost, while the stone relics are left.

Professors, associate professors, scientists and the managing committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Ninh province discussed issues related to the original relics at Quynh Lam pagoda; the construction at the relics under the supervision of archaeological and preservation aspects.

The project has a total investment of VND130-160 billion, mainly from socialization sources./.
