Quang Ninh to continue information technology development in 2014

Friday, November 29th, 2013 Quang Ninh province strives to have 80% of enterprises applying information technology to interact with state agencies through the e-government system in 2014.

Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee has approved a plan on applying and developing information technology.

In 2012, Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee approved a project on the provincial e-government. The project aimed to update and transfer management ideas of the provincial Party Committee, provincial People’s Council and provincial People’s Committee to serve the people and enterprises. The provincial portal has 71 channels and 14 links to websites of units and organizations in the province. 100% of administrative procedures of state management agencies in the province are updated on the provincial portal.

The administration centre is in districts of Van Don and Cam Pha, cities of Ha Long and Mong Cai, and Uong Bi town.

In 2014, the province will strive to complete objectives proposed in the provincial e-government project in the 2012-2014 period and the plan on applying and developing information technology in the province in the 2011-2015 period. Accordingly, more than 60% of local people will be provided information about e-government and can use services on the e-government system. 60% of documents in state agencies will be implemented on network and 50% use digital signatures./.
