Northern province creates jobs for nearly 25,000 labourers

According to the Department of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs of the northern province of Quang Ninh, in 2013, the province created jobs for nearly 24,968 labourers, reaching 96% of the year’s plan.

Of 24,867 labourers getting jobs domestically, 11,647 ones had jobs in the industrial and construction sector, 9,308 in the service and commercial sector and 3,912 in the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector.
In addition, 101 labourers were sent to work abroad.
During the implementation of job creation through socio-economic development programs, in 2013, localities gave loans worth over VND28 billion to 1,341 projects, creating 1,536 jobs.
The provincial centre on employment introduction gave job consultancy and introduction to 8,300 labourers, of which over 3,000 got jobs.
In 2014, the province targets to create new jobs for 26,000 people, including 1,600 jobs through loans for job creation projects and 100 guest workers./.
