Northern province’s young people join voluntary campaigns

The Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization of Ha Long city has worked with its organizations in Ba Che and Binh Lieu districts of the northern province of Quang Ninh to give presents to poor children on the occasion of the lunar New Year.

In Ba Che district, the organization from Ha Long city arranged 20 organizations from primary schools to sign a friendship deal to help 6 others, and gave 82 presents worth VND200,000 each to disadvantaged members.

Earlier, a similar deal was signed with 18 organizations of primary schools in Binh Lieu district, and 69 presents worth VND200,000 each were also awarded for disadvantaged members in the schools.

On this occasion, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, standing deputy secretary of the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union visited and gave presents worth VND400,000 each to 5 poor families and revolutionary contributors in Ba Che district.

In addition, in Binh Lieu district, the Quang Ninh voluntary club presented 160 winter clothes worth over VND20 million, 1,000 sets of clothes, gloves and woollen hats for disadvantaged pupils, and awarded 10 scholarships worth VND500,000 each to excellent disadvantaged pupils.

Another humanitarian club from Hai Phong city also gave 30 presents worth VND500,000 each to poor pupils and presents worth VND300,000 each to 15 disadvantaged pupils in Huc Dong commune, Binh Lieu district.

As planned, the Binh Lieu district Communist Youth Union is expected to give 300 presents to poor children in remote areas./.
