Quang Ninh police seize over 100kg of firecrackers

(CPV) - At 7p.m of January 20, the police of Dong Trieu district, Quang Ninh province caught Bui Duy Van, born in 1987, in the act of transporting 12.5 kg of firecrackers produced in China in Mao Khe town to sell for profit.
Bui Duy Van confessed that he bought the firecracker from Cao Van Tien, born in 1983 in Mao Khe town, Dong Trieu district. The police seized an additional 30.6kg of firecrackers Cao Van Tien had concealed at his grandmother’s home in Doan Ket region, Mao Khe town. On January 21, Cao Van Tien turned himself in to the police and conceded all his illegal firecracker trading behaviour.
Previously, at 8.40pm of January 18, Dong Trieu police detected and caught Nguyen Van Hoa, born in 1992 in Nguyen Hue commune, Dong Trieu district for selling 27kg of firecrackers produced in China to Vu Van Tac, born in 1971 in the same commune. Through the exploitation of Nguyen Van Hoa’s information, the police seized more 30kg of firecrackers he had hid at the edge of a pond near his house.
The Dong Trieu police are further investigating to deal with them under the law./.
