Northern province targets to reduce poverty rate to 2.18%

The Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee has issued a decision adopting the program on sustainable poverty reduction in the 2014-2015 period, with an orientation until 2020, in which the province sets a target poverty rate of 2.18% by 2015.

The efforts aims to ensure that all the beneficiaries can promptly and adequately benefit from policies and have access to social services.

Specific solutions and measures are to identify poor and nearly-poor families accurately, raise the provincial poverty standard higher than national one, study to issue new policy, continue the implementation of effective policies, and increase social involvement in poverty reduction./.
