Presenting over 13,000 gifts to policy beneficiaries

On the occasion of the lunar New Year, 13,327 people in Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province, have been presented gifts for Tet, worth over VND2 billion.

In 2013, Hai Ha district promoted activities and movements to raise money worth VND12 billion to help poor and policy beneficiary families, especially revolutionary contributors and ethnic people in border areas and islands. This has helped reduce the household poverty rate in the district to 7.26%.

On the occasion of the lunar New Year 2014, leaders from Hai Ha district visited and presented gifts to local people. The activity has become an important task, which has practical significance./.
