Public Security Minister pays working visit to Quang Ninh province

On February 5, General Tran Dai Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security paid a working visit to the northern province of Quang Ninh to inspect efforts to ensure security during the lunar New Year festival in the province.

During the working session, major-general Vu Chi Thuc, Director of the provincial Police, said that during the 9-day long festival, the provincial police had actively carried out efficiently plans to ensure order and safety, with no complex cases occurring, social order and traffic safety ensured, while violations on explosive and sky lanterns were prevented across the province.

Speaking during the working meeting, Minister Tran Dai Quang praised the efforts by the provincial police in ensuring safety and order.

He stressed that as the province was a focus on tourism sites, festivals, and landscapes which attract a great number of domestic and foreign visitors each year, police forces should continue to synchronously and drastically carry out measures to ensure safety and order, contributing to realizing political, socio-economic, national defence and security tasks of the province./.
