Quang Ninh provincial delegation pays working visit to Taiwan (China)

During a trip to gain experience and promote investment in Taiwan (China), a working delegation from the northern province of Quang Ninh recently visited some production centres there.

The delegation, led by Dang Huy Hau, member of the provincial Standing Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, also visited the Vietnamese Office of Economics and Culture in Taipei where the delegation heard Bui Trong Van, representative of the office, report on the economic and cultural cooperation between Taiwan and Vietnam, especially partners investing in Quang Ninh province as well as the scientific achievements in forestry and fisheries sectors.
Dang Huy Hau praised the investment cooperation from Taiwanese enterprises in Vietnam in general and in Quang Ninh province in particular and reported on policies issued to attract investment in Quang Ninh province.
He suggested that the Vietnamese Office of Economics and Culture in Taipei should give time to introducing and attracting Taiwanese investors to Quang Ninh province, pledging that the province would create the best conditions for Taiwanese enterprises to invest in the province, especially in agricultural, forestry and fisheries areas.
The delegation visited the largest mushroom production centre in Taiwan where 2,200 families produce some 20 tons of mushrooms each year. In addition, it also toured a chemical company and a micro-organic fertilizer company.
Through research, members of the delegation recognised that the technological production of mushroom and fertilizer for agricultural production could be applied in Quang Ninh province./.
