The activity aimed to realise the program on giving cows to poor residents in border communes.

With the program in operation since last September the results have provided the selected residents an effective source of production, helping them escape poverty, improve their standard of living and the overall well-being and outlook of the community as well as helping to maintain border security and sovereignty.

Representing the receivers, Dang Van Kim, from Po Hen village, Hai Son commune, happily thanked the Party and State for the assistance, pledging to care well for the cows for economic development and poverty reduction.

Mong Cai city is the second locality in the province benefiting from the program. According Le Ngoc Luu, Deputy Chairman of the city People’s Committee, the program holds great significance in terms of political, economic and social aspects by assisting the poor’s lives, thus contributing to building more prosperous and stronger border areas.

After the cow granting ceremony, the receivers were instructed how to care for the cows efficiently./.
