Various activities responding to National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control 2014

Various activities to respond the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control 2014, with the theme “No stigma and discrimination against people infected with HIV/AIDS” from November 10th to December 10th, are being organized in Quang Ninh province.
Accordingly, a meeting and parade will be held on November 30th in Ha Long city with the participation of over 1,200 people and 100 motorbikes with banners.
In addition, the province also organizes communications and expands the HIV/AIDS prevention activities by improving quality of healthcare and social services, especially harm reduction intervention measures in HIV prevention, as well as raising more funds to support HIV-infected people.
To carry out the activities effectively, the province has asked Departments and sectors, districts and cities to build specific plans as well as enhanced organization, implementation and supervision of communications on HIV/AIDS prevention suitable with practical situations in localities.
According to the Quang Ninh provincial Health Department, the province now has over 5,100 diagnosed HIV-infected people./.
