Quang Ninh bagged 5 golds in Pencak Silat at the 7th National Games

(CPV) - The Pencak Silat event at the 7th National Games ended on December 9th at the Hai Hau district sports centre in the northern province of Nam Dinh, after 7 days of competition.

Some 400 athletes from 28 provinces and cities from around the nation joined the event, competing for 26 categories in the Tading and Seni events.

The Hanoi delegation ranked first with 10 gold medals (6 gold in the Tading and 4 gold in the Seni), while the athletes from Quang Ninh province pocketing a total of 5 medals (1 gold by male artist, Nguyen Thai Linh, in the men’s 60kg event, and 4 bronzes by Tong Thi Hanh in the woman’s 60kg event, Nguyen Viet Duy in the men’s 65kg event, Nguyen Thi Ngoc in the women’s 60kg event and Le Tien Long in the men’s 95kg event).

So far, the Quang Ninh delegation has won 11 gold medals, ranking in the top 10 of 65 delegations./.
