Quang Ninh bagged 11 medals at the National Swimming and Diving 25m pool

(CPV) - The Quang Ninh delegation won a total of 11 medals at the 2015 National Swimming and Diving 25m pool which has just ended in Thua Thien - Hue province.

The tournament is part of the activities celebrating the 40^th anniversary of Thua Thien - Hue’s Liberation Day (March 25^th, 1975 - March 25^th, 2015) and 69^th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27^th, 1946 - March 27^th, 2015).

Around 190 divers and swimmers from 17 locations competed in 24 medal categories for diving and 40 categories for swimming.

“Cetus” of the Quang Ninh delegation from provincial under-water sports, rescue and diving center took home 11 medals (4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze), and broke the national record in the 4x100m double swim fins relays and 4x100 m relays medley when doing so.

Female athlete, Duong Thi Thom, successfully pocketed 3 individual golds in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke events, thus helping the delegation to reach third place overall./.
