Women in northern district given training on gender equality

A meeting was recently held in Hai Ha district in the northern province of Quang Ninh to disseminate information on gender equality for the advancement of women, for labourers and trade unions cadres in the district.

Accordingly, attendees were given information on gender equality, the prevention of gender violence, the granting of medical insurance cards, policies on supporting children’s education, the protection of children as well as the regulations on child labour for all concerned agencies.

The training provided access to knowledge and skills on realizing gender equality for the advancement of women. Furthermore, their understanding on regulations on protection, care for and education of children was improved./.
