Co To invests VND2 billion in electricity to serve tourism

The Co To district electricity sector in the northern province of Quang Ninh has spent VND2 billion to build an additional 2 transformer stations and 700 metres of mid-voltage line.

The investment aims to prevent any under supply problems during the national reunification celebrations (April 30th), the International Workers’ Day (May 1st) and summer tourism.
As Co To is preparing nearly 1,000 rooms for an anticipated 5000 extra tourists, the investment in the electricity sector will ensure a sufficient provision of power to families doing business in tourism sector as well as local residents.
In 2014 tourism season, Co To island welcomed 100,000 tourists./.
