In over 10 years since the implementation of the project on giving vocational training to rural areas of the Prime Minister, the nation has provided vocational training to over 9.6 million rural labourers, according to the Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).

Of the trainees, 65% choose non-agricultural industries and the rest study agricultural industries. After graduation, over 80% of trained labourers get new jobs or continue their former jobs but with higher productivity and income.

To increase the efficiency of vocational training, in 2021-2025, MOLISA directed localities and vocational training foundations to focus on providing labourers’ knowledge in connection with building new-style rural areas, adapting the technological changes and digital transformation. The ministry requested priority for training of rural labourers who lost jobs due to the consequences of natural disasters, pandemics and those with disabilities./.
