Double-decker Hop on Hop off buses to be piloted in localities

Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc has directed providing transport service by Hop on Hop off buses to contribute to boosting tourism development in some localities.

Specifically, the government leader agreed in principle to use two-floor Hop on Hop off buses from 16 to 45 seats to connect urban centres to airports in Hanoi, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Thua Thien-Hue, Lam Dong, Kien Giang and Ho Chi Minh city.
The project will be piloted over five years.
The PM assigned the Ministry of Transport to host and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and People’s Committees of the localities to guide enterprises to pilot the project as prescribed by law, ensuring traffic safety.
After being carried out for six months, the Ministry of Transport will make a preliminary sum-up to draw experience for the following pilot steps./.
