James Kopenec with American nationality is the 15 millionth foreign tourist. The high-end cruise ship carrying him and his family docked at Ha Long bay, Quang Ninh province on December 19th.
The Celebrity Millennium cruise ship which serves voyages to Asia and the South Pacific Ocean carried more than 2,000 tourists to Ha Long, Quang Ninh.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Quang Ninh People’s Committee to organize a ceremony to welcome tourists on the five-star cruise ship.

Art performances were performed while passengers were waiting for customs clearance.
Celebrity Millennium is among the world’s leading cruise ships with many conveniences: restaurants, bars, cinemas, theatres and spas.
The special passengers were received by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Quang Ninh leader with flower necklaces and conical hats.
A lion dance in front of the multi-purpose hall welcomed the special guests to Ha Long.
James Kopenec from Arizona said, “I felt very lucky to be the 15 millionth visitor to Vietnam in 2018. Vietnam in my eyes is more beautiful than I imagined. Thank you very much!”
In 2017, Vietnam greeted 13 million foreign travelers. This year, the tourism sector set target of welcoming 15 million foreigners and providing services to 80 million local tourists, earning a revenue of VND620 trillion./.
