Firework display on Han River
This year’s event will see the participation of 8 teams, namely Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, Italy, UK, China, and the host Da Nang.
There will be 5 performance nights, themed “Origin”, “Seed”, “Love”, “Colors” and “Going out to Sea”. The first competition between Vietnam and Russia will take place on June 1st, followed by Brazil and Belgium on June 8th, Finland and Italy on June 15th, the UK and China on June 22nd.
The best two teams will compete in the grand finale night on July 6th.
The stage of this year’s event will be designed with modern technology, bringing comfort and convenience to the audience, with a large-scale LED system to enable the audience to follow art performances.
The first prize winner will be awarded with the DIFF 2019 trophy and USD10,000 in cash, whilst the runner-up will be given USD5,000.
In his speech at the press conference, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh said DIFF was voted among the most outstanding cultural events in Vietnam in 2018, affirming its reputation to attract more tourists to the central coastal hub.
Like previous years, DIFF 2019 will still be organized by the real estate developer Sun Group./.
