Free entrance to Hoi An ancient town to be offered on December 4th

Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Cam, Director of the Hoi An city Center for Culture, Sports, Radio and Television said the move is part of activities to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town recognized as a World Cultural Heritage (December 4^th, 1999) and the 10^th anniversary of Cu Lao Cham recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve.

The activity aims to express gratitude and create conditions for visitors to learn about unique values on history and culture of Hoi An; attracting more visitors to the locality. On this occasion, Hoi An city will organize an array of cultural and tourism programs for visitors to discover the ancient town.

The Hoi An city People’s Committee will organize cross-country run on December 2^nd to introduce and promote the image of Hoi An to domestic and international visitors and raise public awareness about preserving the world cultural heritage and developing sustainable tourism.

The event will attract the participation of more than 500 athletes being Hoi An residents, domestic and international tourists./.
