Vietnam’s ancient city of Hoi An, in the central province of Quang Nam, has been named among the top ten cities of the world by the New York-based Travel + Leisure magazine.

The magazine published the results of its annual survey of readers’ travel experiences of cities visited in terms of landscape, vision, culture, cuisine, friendliness, shopping and common values.
Hoi An ranked third in the ranking, after two cities in Mexico: San Miguel De Allende and Oaxaca.
The ancient city, which was recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, is famous for its old quarter with traditional architecture dating back to between the 17th and 19th century, as well as its unique cuisine.
After social distancing, Hoi An city People's Committee is providing free tickets to stimulate domestic tourism and attract tourists.
From June 1st, the city People's Committee will organize night street activities, pedestrian streets, cultural and art performances in Hoi An ancient quarter, Thanh Ha pottery village and Tra Que vegetable village./.
