About 20,000 tourists attend 2024 Yen Tu Spring Festival opening

On February 19 (the 10^th day of the first lunar month), the Yen Tu Spring Festival opened at Truc Lam - Yen Tu Palace, Thuong Yen Cong commune, Uong Bi city.

The organizers said about 20,000 people attended the opening day, a two-fold increase from the previous year. Earlier, Yen Tu relic site welcomed 138,000 visitors and worshipers in the first nine days of the first lunar month, an increase of 19% over the same period in 2023.

This year, the traditional Yen Tu Spring Festival opening ceremony is held in a solemn, safe, healthy and economical way, imbued with the nation's identity.

Throughout the festival, there will be special cultural activities, such as: organizing folk games; traditional music performances in Yen Tu Nuong Village area; displaying and exhibiting paintings and photos to popularize and promote the values and majestic and sacred beauty of Yen Tu.

Coming to the Yen Tu relic site, people and tourists also have the opportunity to experience the culinary culture of Dao Thanh Y ethnic people at the foot of Yen Tu Mountain.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Tuan Dat, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Uong Bi City emphasized that Yen Tu is a spiritual place, a blessed land of the country, a place associated with the name and great cause of King Tran Nhan Tong and his great contributions to the country through defeating Yuan-Mongol invaders twice.

The Yen Tu Spring Festival 2024 will last for 3 months./.
