Bac Kan opens “Through Northern Vietnam Heritage Regions” program

The 15th tourism program “Through the Northern Vietnam Heritage Regions” opened at the Bac Kan provincial Cultural House Square, on August 25.

The tourism program was formed on the basis of a cooperation agreement on tourism development between six provinces of Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang. The program has been organized for 14 years.

The program has created links to develop tourism products, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and increasing people’s income.

In his opening speech, Deputy Chairman of the Bac Kan provincial People’s Committee Pham Duy Hung emphasized that the “Through the Northern Vietnam Heritage Regions” journey has created a unique tourism brand, characteristic of the six northern provinces. The program’s message is to create a safe, friendly and attractive destination, contributing to the implementation of the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2030.

After the opening speech, delegates, tourists and people enjoyed a spectacular and unique art program.

Within the framework of the program, there will be activities such as open Bac Kan mountain bike race; OCOP agricultural product festival and culinary culture of six northern provinces; On-site tour guide competition; and conference on signing comprehensive cooperation on tourism communication of six northern provinces with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Magazine.

Activities associated with the celebration of Bac Kan Liberation Day are the opening of Cau River walking street (Bac Kan city); music and fashion show “Northern Vietnam Imprint”; performance of national intangible cultural heritage of Bac Kan province; exhibition of paintings and photos of six northern provinces; and conference to promote investment in Bac Kan.

Local people and tourists can also participate in many new activities, such as: hot air balloons, paragliding, kayaking and folk games.

The tourism program will close on August 28./.
