Cao Bang earns over 147 billion VND tourism revenue during five-day holidays

The northeastern province of Cao Bang welcomed more than 82,000 visitor arrivals during the five-day holiday from April 27 to May 1, an increase of 17% compared to the same period last year, reported the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on May 2.

Among the tourists were nearly 2,000 international arrivals.

Accordingly, total revenue from tourism during the holiday reached 147.6 billion VND, an increase of 26% over the same period in 2023. Room occupancy of accommodation establishments reached 85.5%.

Among the destinations in Cao Bang, Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourist Area still leads in attracting tourists, with more than 22,000 visitor arrivals during the period.

Three special national monuments: Pac Bo, Tran Hung Dao forest and The Border Historic Site of 1950 attracted more than 20,000 visitors.

Destinations such as: Mat Than Mountain, Ba Quang Burnt Grass Hill, Thang Hen Lake and eco-tourism areas also lured thousands of visitors during the holidays. Among them, Kolia eco-tourism area, Thanh Cong commune, Nguyen Binh district attracted 2,746 tourists.

During this year’s holiday, Cao Bang city maintained the operation of Kim Dong walking street for 4 nights (from April 27 to 30), with many cultural, artistic and entertainment activities./.
