Of the tourists, about 3.6 million visitors stayed overnight and the average room occupancy at accommodation establishments nationwide was 70%, even reaching 100% in some coastal destinations.
According to reports, most key tourist areas across the country witnessed growth in tourist numbers compared to the same period in 2023. Of which, Thanh Hoa served about 1.5 million visitors, up 27.2%. Total revenue from tourists reached about 3,805 billion VND, up 32.8%.
Quang Ninh served more than 1 million visitors, up 48%. Total revenue from tourists reached about 2,210 billion VND, up 53%.
Khanh Hoa served about 970,000 visitors, up 21.5%. Total revenue from tourists reached about 1,306.7 billion VND, up 53%.
Ho Chi Minh City served about 969,000 visitors, up 2%. Total revenue from tourists reached about 3,235 billion VND, up 3.4%.
Nghe An served about 950,000 visitors, up 22%. Total revenue from tourists reached more than 1,700 billion VND.
The capital Hanoi served about 738,000 visitors, up 4%. Total revenue from tourists reached about 2,500 billion VND, up nearly 10%.
The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism said that as this year’s holiday lasted 5 days, most destinations welcomed more visitors with longer stays and earned higher revenue compared to the same period in 2023.
