Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2024 opens

The Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2024, themed “Cua Lo – Desire to shine”, opens at Binh Minh Square, Cua Lo town, the central province of Nghe An on April 18.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Dinh Long emphasized that the festival offered an opportunity for Nghe An to introduce and promote tourism values, resources and special tourism products to friends, domestic and foreign tourists.

This is also a specific and practical activity, affirming the determination of the Party, government and people to build an increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized province, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 39 of the Politburo to make Nghe An a decent province as Uncle Ho’s wish.

Right after the opening drum sound is the art program "Cua Lo - Desire to Shine". This program, imbued with the cultural colors of Nghe An mixed with the youthfulness and excitement of a Cua Lo, combines music and performance to tell the story of Cua Lo through 30 years of construction, innovation and vibrant development. In addition to the combination of unique fireworks displays, the program also includes an artistic light show with hundreds of drones creating aerial art.

Within the framework of the festival, a series of activities take place such as: Sports tournaments; Fishing festival at Lang Hieu Temple, Nghi Hai Ward; Night street music and food festival; and Art program on Vi Giam singing.

Also at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage Nong Quoc Thanh awarded the Decision to recognize the Yen Luong Temple Festival, Nghi Thuy Ward as National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

This is a folk festival associated with the belief of worshiping the Four Holy Mothers and the blessed gods of coastal residents. It is one of the most unique traditional festivals of Nghe An, expressing many unique elements of sea culture.

In 2024, Cua Lo strives to welcome 4.15 million visitors, with 1.45 million staying guests, and revenue from tourism services is expected to reach 4.2 trillion VND./.
