(CPV) - Da Lat, Nha Trang and Da Nang are still the top 3 most searched destinations during the 2024 Lunar New Year (Tet) thanks to the harmonious combination of majestic natural landscapes, romantic beaches and unique culture.

The global online travel service platform Booking.com has announced that, based on searches and bookings from February 8 to 14 (December 29 to January 5 of the lunar calendar), Da Lat is the most searched destination for domestic tourists during Tet among Vietnam’s attractive tourist destinations.
This year’s Tet holiday is forecast to coincide with cherry blossoms at their most beautiful bloom on the Lam Vien plateau. The blooming cherry blossom season is one of the factors that attracts many tourists to Da Lat for spring travel at the beginning of the year.
According to a survey by Booking.com, this year travelers tend to seek locations with cooler weather to avoid the heat, with 82% of respondents saying this year they are interested in a vacation focused on sea-related activities. Therefore, sea tourism is still the top choice of Vietnamese tourists.
This need is reflected in the top 10 domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists, with six out of 10 being coastal locations such as Nha Trang, Da Nang, Vung Tau, Phu Quoc, Mui Ne and Hoi An .
In addition, Vietnamese tourists also like cities such as Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, which are famous for street food, particularly traditional Tet dishes. Hoi An ancient town with colorful lanterns on streets or Sa Pa with magnificent terraced fields also attract domestic travellers.
The 10 most popular destinations chosen by Vietnamese tourists during Lunar New Year are Da Lat, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Vung Tau, Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, Hanoi, Sa Pa and Hoi An./.
