The central coastal city of Da Nang welcomed 2.5 million international visitors in the first seven months of the year, reaching the target of international visitors for the whole year of 2024, according to the city Statistics Office.
During the period, the total number of tourists to the city reached 6.6 million, up 33% year on year.

The number of overnight visitors in the seven months is estimated at 4.9 million, up 27.4%, of which international visitors are estimated at 2.3 million, up 27.4%. The number of day-stay visitors is estimated at 1.7 million, up 52.7%, of which international day-stay visitors reached 145,700, up 54.2% year on year.
Through research at accommodation service establishments, the number of day-stay visitors has increased sharply compared to the same period last year due to a large increase in the number of group visitors. Tourists during their sightseeing tours at entertainment areas often register to rest for a few hours at accommodation service establishments.
Revenue from accommodation and food services in the seven months is estimated at 15,700 billion VND, accounting for 19.7% of the total and increasing by 23.5% year on year.
Thus, in the seven months, Da Nang reached its target for international tourists for the whole year of 2024. It set a target of welcoming 8.42 million overnight tourists and 2.5 million international travelers in 2024.
The international markets sending most tourists to Da Nang are the Republic of Korea, India, Thailand, China and the US./.
