The program was organized within the framework of the investment and tourism promotion trip of the city leaders delegation to the RoK, led by Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the City Party Committee.

The program introduced and updated information about new and unique tourism products, especially for the Korean market; at the same time, it helped create opportunities for tourism businesses in the central coastal localities of Da Nang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien-Hue to increase business expansion and connection with Korean partners.

The event was attended by Mr. Vu Ho, Vietnam Ambassador to the RoK and Mr. Baek Seung Pil, Vice President of the Korean Association of Travel Agents (KATA), and more than 70 representatives of airlines, travel agencies, MICE, golf, wedding organizers, influencers (KOLs) and Korean news agencies.

At the program, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, cited the impressive growth of Korean visitors in the first six months of 2024.

Specifically, Da Nang welcomed 822,765 Korean tourists in the six months, accounting for more than 41% of the total international visitor arrivals to the coastal city. This number has reached the milestone of the total number of Korean visitors in Da Nang in 2023 (935,000) and reached nearly 50% of the total number of Korean visitors in 2019, the peak period of Da Nang tourism.

The “Enjoy Da Nang Again” campaign will be held from July 15 to the end of 2024 as a highlight of the program to connect and introduce Da Nang tourism in the RoK.

The campaign will offer many souvenirs and incentive packages for Korean tourists returning to Da Nang for the second time since 2020, to bring visitors more interesting experiences.

The program will be attended by about 70 guests being representatives of airlines, travel agencies, MICE, golf, wedding organizers, influencers (KOLs) and Korean news agencies./.
