In 2022, Hanoi was selected as one of the "12 top autumn destinations" in the world for tourists to visit.

In autumn in Hanoi, visitors can leisurely walk on Thanh Nien, Phan Dinh Phung, Hoang Dieu, Dien Bien Phu and Trang Thi streets or stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Long Bien Bridge; or enjoy the beauty of ancient architectural works of the Temple of Literature, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, then enjoy autumn cuisine in Hanoi Old Quarter.

Hanoi autumn has light wind, golden sunlight and cloudless brilliant sky. On many streets, bicycles selling colorful flowers seem to decorate the autumn. The mild weather makes people's hearts become gentler. Hanoi girls in traditional long dress take pictures together in typical streets in Hanoi capital.

Thuy Khe Street with dozens of bicycles selling flowers is an ideal check-in spot for young people. Phan Dinh Phung Street with rows of shady old trees is always the choice of everyone for beautiful photos. Many people are also attracted to take photos in the area around Hoan Kiem Lake. In the afternoon, the area around West Lake becomes a place for entertainment and walking for many people.

The Hanoi Tourism Department will also organize major events, tourism festivals, traditional festivals, and special celebrations to attract tourists. These are the Tourism Gift Festival in August, the Hanoi Autumn Festival in September, the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival, and the Monsoon Music Festival in October. The traditional Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere on the full moon day of the 8th lunar month will recreate a bustling, impressive street atmosphere, especially in the Old Quarter.

Particularly, activities to celebrate the National Day (September 2) will take place in late August and early September, and October will see a concentration of celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital with firework performance in 30 locations.

In addition, visitors can admire Hanoi by city tour bus in downtown streets in Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, and Tay Ho, by cruise ship on the Red River, or by bicycle.

Enjoying Hanoi's autumn cuisine with traditional Hanoi autumn snacks such as green sticky rice, moon cakes, ripening dracontomelon fruits, egg coffee, Hanoi noodle soup (pho), West Lake shrimp cakes will be truly unforgettable during autumn tours in Hanoi.

Hanoi also owns a huge amount of heritage, monuments and unique cultural and artistic values that cannot be found anywhere else. All these factors combine to make the chic and unique capital city of Vietnam.
