Ha Long welcomes over 5,100 MICE tourists

The delegation is divided into three groups, of which the first group will depart from August 18 to 20, with 1,800 Vietnamese and Korean tourists. Flamingo Redtours Company is responsible for welcoming the delegation.

Ms. Vu Bich Hue, in charge of communications at Flamingo Redtours Travel Company, said that the unit has designed and organized a three-day and two-night itinerary for the 5,100 travellers.

The delegation enjoyed Ha Long Bay - Natural Heritage and New Natural Wonder of the World; exciting Gala dinner; and team building activities on the beach with many creative and exciting games.

Director of the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Tourism Nguyen Huyen Anh said MICE tourism is a key market of the Quang Ninh tourism industry. Therefore, in addition to focusing on investing in improving infrastructure and diversifying products, the provincial tourism industry has also built a system of special support policies such as reception, reducing entrance fees and giving away experiential activities. This support is expected to attract more MICE tourists to Quang Ninh, contributing to achieving the target of welcoming 19 million tourists in 2024.

Currently, MICE tourism has grown rapidly compared to 2023 and accounts for about 65-70% of the market. Aiming to promote tourism development, localities are making efforts to cooperate with travel agencies to implement many reasonable stimulus policies to attract this type of visitor, increasing tourism revenue./.
