The city Department of Tourism focuses on coordinating with travel businesses, tourist destinations, especially relic and heritage destinations to build night tourism products and experiential tourism on the basis of exploiting traditional values.
Recently, many new tourism products bearing the cultural imprint of Hanoi have been launched, attracting many tourists. In addition to night tours at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hoa Lo Prison relic, Literature Museum and night walking streets, many new tourism products have also been launched such as tourism product “Truc Bach Night” and the announcement of the Decision to recognize three tourist destinations: Quan Thanh Temple, Voi Phuc Temple and Ngoc Island - Truc Bach, Ba Dinh District. The event’s space was set up like a film set with the backdrop of a quarter bearing the imprint of the subsidy period, tram cars and department stores, reminding local people and tourists of the memories of the subsidy period - one of the special periods of the country.
Previously, the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 took place from August 23 to 25 at the pedestrian zone in front of Thong Nhat (Reunification) Park on Tran Nhan Tong street in Hanoi's Hai Ba Trung district. The event introduced unique and creative products and gifts of Hanoi people to domestic and international tourists.
The Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024 with the theme of “The Quintessence of Ao Dai” took place from October 4-6 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel and satellite locations in the city, to honor the Ao Dai and cultural values of Vietnam and the capital.
Hanoi attracts a large number of tourists because the capital is the convergence and embodiment of Vietnamese culture with unique values that cannot be found anywhere else. This place has the highest density of historical and cultural relics in the country with nearly 6,000 ranked relics, including many heritages ranked by UNESCO such as the world cultural heritage of the central area of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the intangible cultural heritage of the Giong Festival.
Not only that, the beauty of Hanoi’s Old Quarter with 36 streets, traditional dishes such as pho, bun cha and cha ca have captivated many people, urging them to come to Hanoi to enjoy.
With those cultural values, in recent years, Hanoi has always been voted by international tourists as the number one tourist destination in the country and can compete on a global scale./.
