In particular, Hanoi will promote the exploitation of inland waterway tourism routes along the Red River, West Lake, and Dong Mo Lake to increase the attractiveness of tourism in the capital.
Previously, the Department of Tourism also coordinated with Hanoi Tourism Corporation to survey and build a waterway tour connecting cultural tourist attractions and craft villages in the Red River area. The move also aims to put into operation the tour connecting Hanoi’s old town with Bat Trang ceramic village and Chu Dong Tu temple relics.
This is one of the activities to help the capital Tourism industry promote the image of Hanoi to domestic and international friends. It also aims to achieve the target of welcoming 27 million tourists to Hanoi in 2024, including 5.5 million international visitors, earning a revenue of 103.74 trillion VND./.
