The HCM City People’s Committee has issued fares for public passenger transport services on urban railway line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien), with fares per trip ranging from 6,000 to 20,000 VND.

The fares issued by Ho Chi Minh City are in two forms, single-trip fares and time-based fares. For single-trip fares, the fares paid in cash range from 7,000 to 20,000 VND a trip, while non-cash payments range from 6,000 to 19,000 VND a trip, depending on the route distance.
A daily ticket is 40,000 VND a person (unlimited number of trips per day) while monthly ticket price for general passengers is 300,000 VND (unlimited number of trips in a month).
The HCM City People’s Committee said that after having specialized technical and economic norms and regulations on management and operation costs of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line, the Department of Transport will assess, summarize and advise the People's Committee to consider issuing new ticket prices if necessary.
The Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro project has a total investment of about 43,700 billion VND, a length of nearly 20km with three underground stations and 11 elevated stations. The line has a total of 17 trains, each carriage can carry 930 passengers, including 147 seated passengers and 783 standing passengers./.
