HCM City honored as “Asia’s Leading MICE Tourism Destination”

Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu received the award at the ceremony.

This is the 4th consecutive year HCM City has received this valuable title.

Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of the City Department of Tourism, attended and received the award. Sharing with the press after the award ceremony, she said she was very proud to represent the city to receive this award. This is recognition for the tireless efforts and dedication of the city tourism industry.

According to Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, by 2030, HCM City strives to become a leading destination in Asia, with the image of a “Open - Young - Lively - Exciting - Looking to the future” city.

The World MICE Awards are held annually, honoring destinations, hotels, airlines, venues and service providers specializing in MICE tourism. Within the framework of the award ceremony, other representatives of Vietnam and HCM City also received awards, such as Vietnam Airlines being honored as “Asia's Leading MICE Airline” and Vietravel was honored as “Asia's Leading MICE Tourism Organizer”.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Graham Cooke, Chairman of the World Travel Awards, said that HCM City is a special destination, rich in history and culture, a vibrant and colorful metropolis. The city is the leading dynamic and attractive destination in Asia. With a vision towards becoming a global tourism center, the hub will be the driving force to attract high-class corporations and tourism brands, ready to be a regional and global MICE tourism center.
