Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2024 opens

On December 5, the Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City Tourism Week opened with numerous tourism, cultural and sports activities to promote and attract tourists to the southern city.
The event, themed “Lively festival season”, will take place from December 5 - 12, 2024.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, after 3 years of being continuously organized, the HCM City Tourism Week is identified as an annual event to attract visitors to the city, and build a brand for tourism of the southern hub.

Notably, the Tourism Week in Long An, Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau is also taking place at the same time (from November 28 to December 4) with the HCM City Tourism Week. Thanks to that, the event has become an activity connecting tourism and trade between Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the Mekong Delta and the Southeast.
On this occasion, the city will also announce the event of designing a tourism program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. The program not only aims to exploit tourism potential, promote the cultural and historical values of tourist attractions in the city and neighboring localities, but creates a creative playground for businesses, organizations and individuals, contributing to improving the quality of tourism services.
During the tourism week, a series of large-scale tourism - sports - music activities will take place such as seventh Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon; Teqball World Championship 2024; Cho Lon Food Story Festival in District 5; Ho Do International Music Festival; Ho Chi Minh City Brass Band Festival 2024 and Puppetry Festival, Shopping Season 2024 Program, Light Decoration Program and Year-end Countdown Festival./.
