Hoi An builds green tour route at Thanh Ha Pottery Village

According to the municipal People's Committee, implementing green tourism practices among organizations and individuals doing tourism business in Thanh Ha Pottery Village is a necessary task, in line with the city’s orientation.

This is the first step in building a set of evidence, aiming to help the pottery village meet standards of green tourism and become a Green Destination.

Accordingly, the city aims to have 100% of homestay businesses meet green tourism standards according to the Quang Nam Green Tourism Criteria for Homestay; 50% of handmade pottery production establishments meet green tourism standards according to the Quang Nam Green Tourism Criteria for Tourist Attractions and 50% of beverage establishments of all kinds practice green tourism.

Thanh Ha Pottery Village belongs to Nam Dieu block, Thanh Ha Ward, Hoi An City, located 3km southwest of Hoi An Ancient Town. The craft village has 32 pottery production and service establishments, creating jobs for nearly 70 local workers.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of visitors to the pottery village has recovered and grown well. In 2023, the village attracted more than 567,000 visitors, earning revenue of more than 19.8 billion VND, a year-on-year increase of more than 330%./.
