According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, as of September, the province welcomed more than 8.2 million overnight visitors, including more than 3.2 million international visitors. By mid-September, the number of overnight visitors reached more than 90% of the set target, a year-on-year rise of 30%. Revenue from tourism activities was more than 40,000 billion VND. The provincial tourism industry will soon celebrate achieving its target of receiving nine million tourists this year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, said that this growth in the number of visitors and revenue is thanks to the province’s efforts in building local tourism products.
“Since the end of last year and the beginning of this year, Khanh Hoa has actively implemented many promotional activities and organized large-scale events to attract tourists, typically the sea tourism festival program or the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024,” Ms. Thanh said.
In addition, the locality has promoted connections of international markets. In addition to traditional sources of visitors such as the Republic of Korea, China, Thailand and Russia, Khanh Hoa has sought visitors from new markets such as India and Taiwan (China).
The Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said that in the remaining months of 2024, the province will strengthen tourism promotion, diversify domestic and international visitors and products, improve the quality of tourism services, and create new products for the provincial tourism industry.
“The locality will strive to welcome 10 million overnight visitors in 2024, including about four million international visitors. With the current growth rate, Khanh Hoa strives to welcome 13.8 million tourists by 2030 set by the provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee may be reached sooner,” Ms. Thanh shared.
The Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism expects to welcome the nine millionth tourist to the central coastal province in 2024 on the morning of October 1 at Cam Ranh International Airport. After that, it will organize an event to celebrate Khanh Hoa completing the goal of welcoming nine million visitors in 2024 on October 11-13./.
