Since Vietnam opened its doors to international visitors, the Republic of Korea has remained Vietnam’s top sending market. This summer, Korean tourists continue to choose attractive coastal areas of Vietnam to relax and experience summer activities.

Surveying booking data on the system, travel platform Agoda said: “Korean tourists are ‘falling in love’ with Vietnam’s wonderful coastal cities and resort islands with fine sand beaches and clean water.”
Accordingly, Korean tourists are interested in four popular destinations in Vietnam, including Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hoi An and Phu Quoc. These are all famous locations with beautiful beaches, luxury resorts and many attractive tourist activities.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City is ranked 5th on the list of most popular Vietnamese destinations for Korean tourists.
Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam, Vietnam Country Manager at Agoda, shared: "The appeal of Vietnam's beaches to international tourists is undeniable. They love to travel to vibrant towns, cities and coastline, and beautiful white sand beaches. From Hoi An ancient town to Phu Quoc pearl island, or energetic Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam offers a diverse picture of experiences that Korean tourists are addicted to.”
According to data from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, the RoK is still the biggest market sending tourists to Vietnam in the first 3 months of 2024 with more than 1.2 million arrivals, a year-on-year increase of 10%.
Last month, Korea's famous SBS Golf channel chose Da Nang and Phu Quoc as destinations for the program “Golf & Travel in Vietnam” with the participation of four famous female golfers of the “land of kimchi”.
The program is expected to spread the image of a colorful Vietnam with diverse and classy resorts and experiential activities to many Korean tourists./.
