More trains added for National Day holiday

Vietnam Railways Corporation has planned to increase passenger trains on all its routes, and at the same time apply preferential policies and reduce ticket prices to meet the increasing travel demand during the National Day holiday on September 2.

The corporation will offer discounts of 5 and 7 percent to passengers who buy tickets for returning trips and groups of 20 people and above.

The corporation continues to offer special promotional programs for people under the preferential treatment policy, including Vietnamese heroic mothers, war veterans, wounded soldiers, disabled people, the elderly, children, students, members of trade unions and passengers with membership cards.

On the North-South railway, Vietnam Railways Corporation regularly runs train pairs such as SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE11/SE12 (Saigon-Hanoi), SE21/SE22 (Saigon-Da Nang), SNT1/SNT2 (Saigon-Nha Trang), SPT1/SPT2 (Saigon-Phan Thiet), SE19/SE20 (Hanoi-Da Nang), HD1/HD2, HD3/HD4 (Hue-Da Nang), and NA1/NA2 (Hanoi-Vinh).

In addition, the corporation also organizes additional trains from Saigon station to Nha Trang, Quy Nhon stations and vice versa, from Nha Trang to Da Nang and vice versa, and from Hanoi to Quang Binh and vice versa.

Specifically, on the Ho Chi Minh City-Quy Nhon route, it will run additional SE30 trains from Saigon station to Quy Nhon from August 29 to September 2, 2024; SE29 train from Quy Nhon to Saigon station from August 30 to September 3.

On the Ho Chi Minh City-Nha Trang route, additional SNT4 train will run from Saigon station to Nha Trang, on August 29 and 30; SNT8 train on August 30, while   SNT5 train will run on September 2-3 from Nha Trang to Saigon.

On the Nha Trang-Da Nang route, the corporation will run additional SE42 trains from Nha Trang to Da Nang on August 30 and September 1; SE41 trains from Da Nang to Nha Trang on August 31 and September 2. On the Hanoi-Dong Hoi route, additional QB1 and SE17 trains will depart from Hanoi station on August 30; QB2 trains will depart from Dong Hoi station on September 2-3. /.
