The world famous booking site Booking.com has announced the ten most welcoming regions in the world, of which Vietnam’s northern province of Ninh Binh ranked 7th on the list.

The world’s most welcoming regions list of Booking.com is based on more than 240 million verified customer reviews on the site’s platform.
This year's awards includes 10 landmarks spanning 5 continents, including little-known pearl beaches, rural areas possessing enchanting natural landscapes and major cities in Latin America.
Along with Ninh Binh, La Rioja of Spain, Epirus of Greek, Oberosterreich of Austria, County Down of the UK, Mures of Romania, Marlborough of New Zealand, Limon of Costa Rica, Newfoundland & Labrador of Canada and North Dakota of the US were also named.
According to Booking.com, Ninh Binh was the capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. The city is known for many scenic spots and heritage sites, including: Trang An World Heritage Complex, Kim Son – Con Noi Biosphere Reserve and Sea, and World Ramsar area - Van Long Lagoon.
The platform also announced Phong Nha and Dong Hoi as two landmarks in the central province of Quang Binh Province that are in the top 10 friendliest destinations in Vietnam for 2023, the 1st and 8th, respectively./.
