Ninh Binh named among world’s top 10 less-visited wonders

Based on the criteria of beauty, magnificence and level of impression on tourists, the northern province of Ninh Binh ranks 4th in the Top 10 less-visited wonders of the world, according to the United Kingdom’s Daily Mail.

According to Daily Mail, with its towering run of jagged karst pinnacles, Ninh Binh is just as dramatic a sight as the better-known Ha Long Bay, although it doesn't come with hordes of tourists.

The publication also suggests that travelers should visit this place in October and November when water levels are high and the rice fields are ready for harvest.

In particular, Ninh Binh is also blessed with the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex - a world cultural and natural heritage. This is the first and only dual World Heritage Site in Southeast Asia.

Spanning a total area of 12,000 hectares, the complex symbolizes the magic, mystery and majesty of the natural world, including Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel Cultural – Historical Area, Trang An – Tam Coc – Bich Dong Scenic Area and Hoa Lu Special-Use Primary Forest.

Among them, the highlight is Trang An scenic area located in the center of the complex. With its picturesque scenery, renowned spiritual tourism sites, unique festivals and attractive specialities, Trang An is becoming one of Vietnam's most worth-visiting tourist destinations.

Other destinations making Daily Mail’s list include Indonesia’s Raja Ampat coral reefs, the Mayan ruins of Caracol, the world’s largest tropical wetland Pantanal, America’s Hot Rocks Park, ancient Tibet, the world’s oldest desert Namib, New Zealand’s Napier Art Deco architecture, Dominica’s hot springs, and Kimberley, the provincial capital of Northern Cape in South Africa./.
