On July 15, the City Department of Tourism announced that as of early July, 16 accommodation establishments in the city registered to participate in the tourism stimulus program applied to night flights.
Accordingly, hotels will reduce prices of rooms of the first night by 20% to 100% according to the listed price for tourists taking flights at night. From the second night, room prices will be applied according to the listed price or get 60% discounts.
This solution is part of a cooperation plan to promote night flights to the southern hub, directed by the City People’s Committee, the Department of Tourism, the City Tourism Association, Vietnam Airlines, travel businesses and tourist accommodation establishments.
Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines encourages tourist accommodation establishments to participate in building product packages combining with air tickets with free or 20% discount for the first night with a stay of at least 3 nights.
According to the City Department of Tourism, currently, some hotels in the area have offered “huge” discounts from 49% to 100% of prices of the first night, from the second night, 100% of the price is charged or discount from 20% to 53% is applied.
Deputy Director of the City Department of Tourism Le Truong Hien Hoa said that based on the registration of 16 units, Vietnam Airlines will proactively contact and work to build combo packages including round-trip air tickets and two or three overnight stays at hotel, in order to attract more tourists to the city this year.
Earlier, Da Nang was the first locality to announce a partnership model between airlines and accommodation establishments and hotels, including special combos applied from June to September, priced from 2.89 million VND to 3.49 million VND. The combos include round-trip airfare with Vietjet or Vietnam Airlines, two nights at a 3-5 star hotel depending on price, and shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel./.
