Of which, international tourist arrivals are estimated at 425,000, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%. Domestic visitor arrivals reached 2.1 million, a year-on-year rise of 5%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND9,247 billion, a year-on-year rise of 10.3%.
Over the past seven months, the number of tourists to Hanoi totaled 16.44 million, a year-on-year rise of 11.8%. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 3.43 million, a year-on-year rise of 42.5% (including 2.42 million international visitors with accommodation). Domestic tourists are estimated at 13.01 million, a year-on-year rise of 5.8%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 63,602 billion, a year-on-year rise of 18.9%.
In July 2024, the average room occupancy rate of hotels is estimated at 58.57%, down 9.2% year on year. Currently, Hanoi has 3,760 accommodation establishments with 71,246 rooms; of which 606 hotels and apartment buildings have been rated from 1 to 5 stars.
Hanoi now has 45 food and beverage service establishments, 43 shopping service establishments, and seven entertainment establishments recognized as meeting standards for serving tourists.
Aiming to attract tourism at the end of the year, the Department of Tourism will continue to give advice on the implementation of tasks on innovating the organizational model, management methods, preserving and promoting the value of the historical relic and national scenic spot of Huong Son complex (Huong Pagoda), My Duc district.
In addition, it will organize many events such as Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024, Hanoi sports tourism events 2024, a series of activities to build Hanoi cultural and historical tourism products, a conference to meet and dialogue with tourism businesses and announce the program to stimulate domestic tourism in Hanoi in 2024./.
