The Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival wrapped up on the evening of October 6 with many attractive activities.
At the closing ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Hong Minh said that after three years of implementation, the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival aims to stimulate tourism demand, preserve and honor the values of the national Ao Dai long dress associated with tourism activities. Ao Dai have been gradually turned into unique products and meaningful gifts.
The event was attended by 150 units and individuals, with 100 booths displaying products of 85 designers, Ao Dai brands and Ao Dai accessory establishments.
Two stages were designed with open space on three sides, creating a unique space with attractive check-in, discovery and experiences.
In particular, the main stage was elaborately staged and the opening program, themed “Quintessence of Ao Dai”, with a large-scale stage in the ancient space of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, created good and impressive effects in the hearts of people, tourists and international friends.
According to statistics, the festival attracted over 63,000 visitors including Hanoians, people nationwide, international tourists and friends.
The event also included many practical activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the capital, such as double-decker bus experiences; Ao Dai carnival program with the participation of nearly 1,000 people; and “Ao Dai Night” art program with 70 designers; and Ao Dai design contest finals.
The festival had sideline activities such as exhibitions and displays of Ao Dai by famous designers and Ao Dai brands; introduction of tourism products, services and traditional craft villages; demonstration of works by artisans from Van Phuc and Trach Xa silk villages; a folk game area and a space introducing Hanoi cuisine./.
