Promoting Hainan tourism (China) in Hanoi

The Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan province (China) on June 17 organized a program to promote culture and tourism, themed “Hello China - Hainan Sunshine”, in Hanoi.

The event was attended by representatives of state management agencies on tourism in Hainan and 80 businesses in the field of tourism in Hanoi.

At the program, representatives of Hainan shared information about destinations and attractive tourism products of the province, specifically Haikou city, Baoding district and the famous coastal tourist city of Sanya.

In its development orientation, Hainan sets the goal of forming a new regional coordinated economic development model of “3 levels, 1 belt, 1 area”, building an economic circle of Haikou, Sanya, and Sanyang.

Among them, Sanya is a world-class tourist resort paradise with rich marine tourism resources, tropical forests, hot mineral water, medicinal herbs and folk cultural resources.

Bao Ting possesses rich potential for health care tourism, eco-tourism, golf tourism, and sports tourism along with rare natural beauty from tropical rain forests. Besides, Bao Ting also possesses rich intangible cultural heritage resources with folk festivals.

Haikou is a city located on the north coast of Hainan Island, and is an important tourist destination of Hainan province.

Mr. Ou Yang Wen Jing, researcher of the People’s Government Office of Hainan province shared that there are four direct flights between Vietnam and Hainan, including: Haikou - Nha Trang, Haikou - Ho Chi Minh, Haikou - Hanoi and Sanya - Hanoi.

“We hope that in the future we will welcome more Vietnamese tourists to the province,” said Mr. Ou Yang Wen Jing.

Sharing about the potential for developing the tourist market between the two sides in the coming time, Chairman of UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club Truong Quoc Hung hopes that the expansion of direct flights will contribute to promoting links between travel businesses of the two sides in building products and promoting destinations to attract and exchange visitors./.
