A seminar to promote tea culture and tourism of Guangxi (China) was held by the Chinese Cultural Center in Hanoi and the Guangxi (China) Department of Culture and Tourism (China) on May 21.

Speaking at the event, Envoy of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam Wang Qun affirmed the important role of tea in the lives of the people of the two countries and in the diplomatic relations of the two countries. At the same time, he expressed his hope that through this event, China will welcome more Vietnamese tourists.

Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) Ha Van Sieu said that for many years, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in culture and tourism. The authority also signed a memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation with 6 Chinese localities including: Macau, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Sichuan and Chongqing.

He commented that, blessed with magnificent natural landscapes, long-standing cultural heritages, and unique cuisine, Guangxi represents an ideal destination for Vietnamese tourists who are keen to explore cultural diversity.

The VNAT has committed to continuing stepping up linkages and cultural tourism exchanges between Vietnamese localities and Guangxi province in order to accelerate sustainable development for the tourism industry in the future, he added.

At the event, along with introducing tea culture and unique destinations of Guangxi, delegates and Vietnamese travel agencies attended the tea culture space, photo exhibition of tea culture, and consulted tours and tourist routes in Guangxi./.
