Passenger ships registered to dock in Vietnam in 2024 belong to many large and world-famous brands such as Mein Schiff 6 and 5, Celebrity Solstice, Noordam, MSC Splendida, and Westerdam.

According to the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, this year, there will be about 60 international cruise ships carrying about 80,000 tourists docking at Ha Long International Cruise Port.
The 2023-2024 international cruise tourism season starts from October 2023. In the last three months of 2023, 23 cruise ships docked in the northern province of Quang Ninh, bringing about 23,000 tourists.
In January 2024 alone, there were 13 cruise ships registering to visit Ha Long International Cruise Port, bringing nearly 20,000 European, American and Chinese tourists. Many shipping lines have returned to Ha Long several times. Notably, Celebrity Solstice has marked its return in Ha Long for the eighth time since October, and Zhao Shang Yi Dun the eighth time since November 2023.
Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Tourism Nguyen Huyen Anh said Quang Ninh is one of the localities with the most modern international seaports in the country, thus it focuses on international cruise tourists to Ha Long.
The office has joined hands with others to facilitate immigration procedures and offer the best services to foreign visitors.
With a view to luring more cruise tourists, Quang Ninh will roll out new products such as an exhibition space that spotlights the culture of Dao Thanh Y ethnic minority group in Uong Bi city, Ha Long City Tour, and a tour to discover coal mining sites.
Besides, the department has ordered relevant quarters to pay due attention to developing tourism infrastructure, expanding market, introducing local immigration policy, while launching new offerings to lengthen visitors’ stay and increase their spending./.
