Saigon - Phan Thiet train to run daily during summer 2024

(CPV) – The railway sector will operate a pair of trains SPT2/SPT1 daily on the Saigon – Phan Thiet route from May, in order to serve the increasing demand during the summer, according to Vietnam Railways Corporation.
Trains on the Saigon - Phan Thiet route stop to pick up and drop off passengers at stations: Saigon, Di An, Bien Hoa, Long Khanh, Gia Ray, Gia Huynh, Binh Thuan, and Phan Thiet. 

Specifically, the SPT2 train departs from Saigon station at 6:30 a.m. and arrives at Phan Thiet station at 10:50 a.m. The SPT1 train departs at Phan Thiet station at 13:00, arrives at Saigon station at 05:30 a.m. The train stops to pick up and drop off passengers at stations: Saigon, Di An, Bien Hoa, Long Khanh, Gia Ray, Gia Huynh, Binh Thuan, and Phan Thiet.

Train ticket prices range from 169,000 to 294,000 VND a ticket a turn, depending on seat type and departure time.

In addition, when arriving at Phan Thiet station, passengers can use services to travel more conveniently such as bus from Phan Thiet station to Long Son Suoi Nuoc and vice versa; motorbike service right at the station. Passengers can buy bus tickets at Saigon station, on the Saigon - Phan Thiet train or through the ticket switchboard.

In particular, the sector will also offer a combo of round-trip train ticket - bus ticket - one night stay at a 3-4 star resort, priced from only 1,110,000 VND.

For the SPT2/SPT1 trains, from May 17 to August 18, 2024, passengers will receive a 5% discount when buying tickets 10 days or more in advance. The discounts are not applied to 4-bed cabins./.
