Some 80,000 visit VITM Hanoi 2024

In 4 exciting days (from April 11 to 14), Vietnam International Travel Mart-VITM Hanoi 2024 attracted nearly 4,000 Vietnamese and international tourism businesses and some 80,000 visitors.

The information was recently announced by Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Tourism Association and Deputy Head of the organizers of VITM Hanoi 2024, at the closing ceremony held on April 14.

VITM Hanoi 2024, themed “Vietnam Tourism - Green Transformation for Sustainable Development”, continues to affirm its brand and position as the leading tourism promotion event of Vietnamese tourism with the participation of more than 700 promotion agencies and tourism businesses from 55 provinces and cities of Vietnam and 16 countries and territories, with a scale of 480 booths.

Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan said that the event attracted nearly 4,000 Vietnamese and international tourism businesses to work with more than 12,000 “B to B” appointments (transactions between businesses) on the sidelines of the fair. More than 10,000 tours and promotional tourism products were provided at the fair, attracting nearly 80,000 visitors.

Along with that, 23 tourism promotion events and activities were organized between businesses and businesses, businesses and tourists, and by Vietnamese and international tourism promotion agencies.

Notably, the forum “Vietnam Tourism - Green Transformation for Sustainable Development” was attended by a large number of state management agencies on tourism from central to local levels, researchers, tourism experts and leaders of tourism businesses. The forum concretized the content and requirements of green transformation in the tourism sector; proposed effective linkage and coordination mechanisms to mobilize resources to implement green transformation in tourism; and detailed initiatives to access and expand markets for green tourism business models.

Within the framework of VITM-Hanoi 2024, the organizers honored units, organizations and individuals who have made many contributions to the development of Vietnam’s tourism.

At the closing ceremony, the organizers awarded medals to representatives of large-scale booths; booths with impressive designs; and booths with unique activities./.
